The Georges bag is named after the founder of the brand, Georges Carel. Inspired by an archive, its shape resembles that of a book, echoing our history: in the 1950s, Carel opened its very first boutique on Boulevard Saint-Michel, just steps away from La Sorbonne. The first customers were students and professors from the legendary Parisian university. Since then, Carel has maintained a special connection with the academic world, particularly literature: we like to imagine the Carel woman as scholarly and literary, intellectual, but always with a touch of humor. For her, it's the perfect bag.
