To "prevent the woman from walking sadly", George and Rosa Carel introduced in 1952 the trotter heel to the antipodes of the needle. Carel has kept this philosophy today: if the shoe rises, its heel widens, so the woman continues her joyful walk.
While browsing through Carel collections from the 60s, our team of stylists wanted to refresh this design of mary janes with a single strap and square toe.
With its 6.5 centimeters and its flared width, the Caren's heel gives a curve to your legs and energizes your silhouette: stable and stylish, between modern power and vintage charm, you're ready for a walk hand in hand on the Pont des Arts.

Size advice
The Caren Mary Jane sizes from 34 to 42.
This design has a generous fit, so take off one size from your usual size. If you are a 37 FR/EU, your feet will fit in a 36 Carel.
The Carel advice
Like any product, your Piñatex item needs special care. Treat it with love. For optimal maintenance, we recommend that you regularly :
1. clean it thoroughly with a damp cloth and warm soapy water. If it is stained, you can rinse it with warm water, but do not soak it completely in water as this could damage it.
2. Let it dry naturally before applying the wax. Do not use a hair dryer or other heat appliances as this may dry out the textile.
3. Apply a light coat of colourless wax with a soft, dry cloth and rub in gently in circular motions until fully absorbed. Use only a small amount of wax to ensure that it penetrates thoroughly. Waxing is not only for protection, but also to give the textile a nice patina.
4. After application, allow to dry naturally for 24 hours.
5. If desired, polish gently with a dry cloth or a soft brush.

How to measure your size ?
Our tip:
While wearing a sock, place your foot against a wall on a sheet of paper long enough to keep your foot from sticking out.
Be sure to keep your heel firmly against the wall and your foot flat.
Make a small mark in front of your longest toe.
Finally, measure the distance between the end of your sheet and the mark you made.
If the length is between two sizes, round up to the biggest one.
