1952. A student slips Albert Camus' L'étranger into her schoolbag and walks lightly up Boulevard Saint-Michel towards the Sorbonne, the oldest university in France, where the youth of her time are gathering: a generation that wants to forget the war. At 29 du Boul'Mich", the student stops in front of a new shoe store. The window sparkles with joy and bright colors! The "C" of Carel, the name of its founders Georges and Rosa, stamps the collection.
2022. As a tribute to this history that has been written for 70 years, Carel imagines the Sorbonne. This adorable bag plays on the codes of the old-fashioned schoolbag, with its thin, adjustable shoulder strap, organic linen lining and vintage "C" logo.
