marquis

publie-be-carel-big

The true emblem of the Carel house, the Marquis shoes remind one of the elegance of a pump as well as the suppleness of a slipper. Mounted on a thin heel and embellished with a flat grosgrain bow in the front, these leather shoes were hand-crafted in the Montevarchi manufactures in Florence.

A little bit of history: created by Georges Carel and his son Tony, this model is inspired by a shape that originates in the court of Henry IV and was first worn by aristocrats and the King himself.

Through time, Carel developed the shoe in a number of leathers, colours, or even bespoke… from a size 34 to 42!
