The Carel's Fables
In 1984, Carel created the MOUSE model, an adorable ballerina with a muzzle, whiskers, mischievous eyes and leather ears. It is the first of a large family of animals that pay tribute to the fables of Jean de La Fontaine. In the meantime, the Cat, the Octopus, the Crocodile, the Orca, the Monkey, or the Parrot made their appearance. More recently, new animals in the effigy of the lunar years have joined the collection: the Tiger in 2022, and Bunny, the rabbit in 2023.
